In China, the land price has become very expensive, if the warehouse is expanded, the cost will be very high. So the client came to us and wanted us to provide them with a solution.
We went to the company's warehouse, and now the aluminum ingots produced are placed on pallets and then neatly placed on the ground. We had an in-depth communication with the warehouse manager. He told us that their product specifications were not large, but the quantity of each specification was very large. Moreover, their products would be shipped according to the production date, and those with the earlier date would be shipped first.
According to the actual situation of the warehouse, we recommended a three-dimensional warehouse with two shuttle vehicles to them. One end of the warehouse is used as entering the reservoir area, and the other end is used as exiting the reservoir area to ensure that the products produced can be first-in-first-out; We have divided the shelves into 3 levels, so that the existing forklift can still be used without replacement. At the end of the storage, the forklift worker only needs to put the pallet into the corresponding roadway, and the shuttle will come and automatically put the pallet into the storage space. At the end of the warehouse, the forklift worker puts the pallet shuttle into the roadway to pick up the goods, controls the pallet shuttle to transport the goods to the exit, and then the forklift worker can drive the forklift truck to take the pallets and goods off.
After the completion of the project, the warehouse became cleaner, more goods were stored, and the work efficiency was also improved. They were very satisfied with our plan.
